TESTIMONIALS

I believe that every keen world birder understands that NE Brazil offers up an incredible variety of endemic and special species. Some of the rarest birds in the world call this region home and the habitat diversity is simply breath-taking. What is not always appreciated is the logistics that go into making a trip to this part of the world successful. I was extremely fortunate to lead one of the most rewarding tours through NE Brazil in September/October 2017 with the incredible Caio Brito. I have been leading tours for 13 years now and he is undoubtedly one of the best leaders I have ever had the fortune of traveling with. An exceptional birder and guide with a wonderful sense of humour. His attention to detail is second to none and he is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every opportunity is given to finding the target birds. Our exceptional tour managed to locate an incredible 103 Brazilian endemics in just 22 days and this was in no small part due to the skills, experience and ability of Caio.

I look forward to returning to Brazil in the coming years and cannot wait to bird with Caio again.

I have recently returned from a 5 week trip to North-east Brazil, mainly organised and guided by Caio Brito. Caio was recommended to me by Ciro Albano so I had a good idea of the likely standard to expect. I was not surprised by the outstanding birding skills of Caio as the North-east Brazil Bird guides have a tremendously high reputation so I knew what to expect. I was, however, greatly impressed with the tenacity and professionalism of Caio to get me the birds that were very difficult, while ensuring a comfortable and well-organised trip. His depth of knowledge and recall of bird songs/calls was 100% reliable and he identified just about everything before we saw it.

This allowed me to take a much more relaxed approach and enjoy the birds and take many photographs. He organised everything so all I had to do usually was lift my bins!

We did the trip in two parts, the first 6 day tour through Ceara with my wife and then after an 8 day gap Caio sliced a 7000km trail from Recife through to Canguçu in west Tocantins over 10-11 days. My wife loved the tour through Ceara and even looked at some of the birds!

My tour to Tocantins collected a vast swathe of difficult target birds, and extra ones yet to be named!   I got good views of nearly all the target species and had the time to take photo’s of most of them. Caio also utilised local birders where necessary to maximise the chances of sightings. He always had other sites lined up and frequently discussed or altered the itinerary to include other species if available or when requested. This flexibility made the whole experience like being on a trip with a friend who did all the work!

Caio is a real Gentleman, take a tour with him and you will not regret it,

Mr. Caio's professional guiding made us (my friend and I) very satisfied during our leisure time for ten days in North-East Brazil. He has eagle eyes and great knowledge about birds, that enabled us to get many birds, particularly some endemic and stunning birds.

He is also a very nice person and we could spend an excellent time with him.

I strongly recommend Mr. Caio to people who are going to visit North-East Brazil for birding.

Mr. Caio, thank you for your kind and courteous help.

Keep in touch for next trip to Brazil.

Had a very early morning start from Fortaleza, with Caio Brito as excellent guide, for a one-day birding excursion in the area around Guaramiranga in January 2016.

The birding quality was spectacular with lots of endemic and rare species, often with very good possibilities for photography. Species seen well included Gray-breasted Parakeet, Ceara Leaftosser, Band-tailed Manakin, Ceara Gnateater, Spot-backed Puffbird, Short-tailed Antthrush and many more.

Imediatamente me lembrei do competente Caio Brito! O resultado não poderia ter sido outro! Com toda sua paciência e dedicação, colocou-me frente a frente com a preciosidade! E não ficou só nessa! Voltei para casa com alguns “lifers” a mais! Grande Caio Brito!

I have had problems before getting the right place to be able to see and to take pictures of birds.

Got in touch with Caio Brito and for some days he guided us on the way to and around Crato. We could see and hear more than 100 species!  We came so close with the camera that we were able to take good pictures of more than half of them. Absolutely amazing in that short time!

Caio had also prepared a list with all the species that was in the area and in the evenings we compared the pictures I took with the names in the list. Very useful! We also had a very nice time together on our trip and the whole arrangement was very well organized. We want to give our best recommendations for Caio and his friends
